Speaker Bio: Brent Izutsu
Brent Izutsu, Stanford on iTunes
Brent Izutsu first began working on Stanford on iTunes U in August 2005 as a production management intern
from Apple Computer. In January, Brent joined the Stanford team as the Digital Resources Manager and currently oversees training, development, production and support services.
Stanford on iTunes U has made it possible for students, faculty, alumni, and the public to access Stanford digital content free of charge. The public site offers downloads of faculty lectures, campus events, performances, book readings, news, sports coverage, and music. Given the university’s enormous repository of content, and its active alumni population that numbers close to 200,000 worldwide, this new communications and education medium has proved invaluable in keeping the Stanford community connected. Today, the site averages over 2,500 downloads daily.
A native of Maui, Hawai'i, Brent graduated from Santa Clara University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis on Computer Science and a minor in Studio Art with an emphasis on Graphic Art.
